Competition Managers

 A brief overview

Competition Managers are tasked with co-coordinating high quality inter-school competitions, two hundred and forty Competition Managers and Senior Competition Managers are now in post.

Competition Managers will ensure that schools participate in a suitable amount of competition, as well as identifying barriers to participation.

To achieve in this objective; Competition Managers will be working to ensure that the underpinning opportunities exist that will ultimately lead to competition. However this is just one element of their work, Competition Managers will also be working proactively with clubs and School Sports Partnerships (SSP) to establish and formalise exit routes from competition into clubs, and most importantly ensure that clubs can accommodate this increase in participation.

The Senior Competition Manager will work on a strategic level across the whole County, devising a County plan for competition that embraces all those involved in the delivery of school competitions.

Taking post as Senior Competition Manager is Tom Mapp. Previously a RFU Development Officer for Greater Manchester, Tom will work across the Cherry Willingham School Sports Partnership and the City of Lincoln Community College, as well as head up a team of three Competition Managers.

The first of these Competition Managers is former Community Volleyball Coach Navaz Sutton. Navaz will be working across the South East Lincolnshire School Sports Partnership & Boston School Sports Partnership.

Also joining Navaz is former National Governing Body Officer Shane Ward, Shane will work across Lincolnshire Central School Sport Partnership and South West Lincolnshire School Sport Partnership.

Finally completing the team is former Sports Development Officer Paula Hill, Paula will work across the Caistor Grammar School Sport Partnership and Lincolnshire Costal School Sport Partnership.
